The first step was distillation in 2004: in a pot still (pot still) and a coffey still (column still), as is traditional for this distillery, followed by a blend of the two types of distillate. The second step was tropical aging until early 2019: part of the rum was aged exclusively in ex bourbon casks, and the other part was first placed in ex bourbon
