In 1860 Gioacchino De Forville built the first bonds with his family in the Barbaresco region and immediately started working on the potential of the Nebbiolo grape. The De Forville family soon consolidated their ties with Nebbiolo for Barbaresco and the village of Barbaresco where they built their winery. Generations of the De Forville family have taken the lead and still adhere to the family philosophy
