TopazHere we have a classic sherry colored GEM QUALITY Topaz crystal from Dassu, Pakistan. This area has long produced some of the finest Topaz specimens in recent memory from the standpoint of color, size, and gemminess. This crystal is very sharp with a gorgeous semi etched textured surface on the basal termination, and the fact that the crystal is virtually WATER CLEAR makes it so much more desirable. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites (included by Magnesioriebeckite) from this locality

and this line is simply a unique indicator of the activity that was taking place in the pocket while the crystal was forming

and certainly worth picking up if you collect copper minerals

Some of the finest quality Prehnite casts were collected in a series of pockets in the middle of the quarry in a dome-shaped structure measuring approximately 40 x 40 x 40 feet (approximately 12 x 12 x 12 meters) that is locally referred to as a diapir
