Chopaka MountainAn Artichoke that comes to us from Washington State, named for a mountain in the North Cascades. It certainly seems like "mountain garlic" it has the winter hardiness and toughness to grow well in colder regions. The population shows a slight inclination (roughly 10%) to go hardneck (bolt).
