Edwardian Silver Fruit Parer - Gorgeous 1910 John Yeomans Cowlishaw Silver and Mother of Pearl EngravedThis is a beautiful piece from John Yeomans Cowlishaw and is a silver and mother of pearl fruit parer which was used as a pocket device to peel fruit and for small other uses. It has a beautiful silver blade with gorgeous deep engraving and a good mother of pearl handle with a blank shield cartouche. There is a faint wrinkle to the blade and natural colouring and texture to the mother of pearl and a hairline to the side as shown. It measures 2. 6

This is a lovely old desk seal - likely from the Victorian era

It is beautifully stamped for size 10 and is in lovely antique condition

It comes with a nice bright 925 sterling chain of 17 inches as shown

It is heavy and very decorative with a beautiful blue and white enamel to the front which is in lovely condition

It is a highly decorative piece with repousse and a fine flower design to the rear amongst all kinds of complex detail

The closest hallmarks is for Birmingham 1866 but could likely be Chester or London

Unlike common mid-century export wares

The opening doesn't snap shut and does remain closed and there is minor wear to the wood and veneer in places

To the front is bevel edged plain black French Jet glass which is in very nice condition with minor scratching and fleabites under close scrutiny
