Bowl #14 Large Upsala Blue Porcelain Thumped Bowl (Big Bowl Series)This bowl was created using an Upsala blue porcelain. The clay itself is colored blue, and the surface of the bowl was glazed with a clear glossy glaze. I achieved the exterior texture by thumping and paddling it. High end porcelain like this is among the most expensive clays to work with and the creation fail rate can be sky high, so to achieve a finished piece takes a lot of TLC.
