Copper ("Spinel"-twins and crystals)This beautiful specimen of Native Copper from the Rocklands Mine hosts a wonderful combination of sharp, euhedral, crystals and elongated "Spinel" twins intergrown to create a display quality piece. Several fine quality, smooth, defined dodecahedral and octahedral crystals of Copper can be seen from all sides. They show both smooth well formed positive faces and skeletal or "hoppered" negative faces, but they are highlighted by elongated "Spinel"

The main crystals are damage free

there are not many good

even if they are micro crystallized

The lack of luster on the Quartz is most likely due to a micro coating of Chalcedony

"Alpine-type" octahedra (some are twinned) associated with cream colored Feldspar on matrix

Several slender finger-shaped casts of Prehnite after Anhydrite in parallel growth make this an attractive large miniature / small cabinet display specimen

A beautiful crystal group of very sharp

The crystal was difficult to photograph and really looks better in person

and good pieces are next to impossible to obtain from the classic European localities
