I felt I had to create both since they had such different meanings

Most often the Daffodil's bloom signals to us that spring is right around the corner

I chose to paint the Cosmo in abstract watercolor and the marigold in watercolor on cyanotype

which symbolizes our souls as we shine in the darkness and become more beautiful and wise over the course of our lifetime
