Pyrargyrite with MiagyriteA gorgeous, classic, old time display specimen from the historic community of Niederschlema known for producing superb examples of silver species such as Proustite and Pyrargyrite. This piece features the rare association of Pyrargyrite with Miargyrite in the form of brilliantly splendent, metallic, very sharp, silvery colored crystals that glow a beautiful RED color when backlit hence the term "Ruby Silver". The largest crystal measures about 6 mm.

At first glance

there’s an area that resembles “pulled taffy”

I might have a hard time believing it’s from Gilman

are included with an unknown black mineral (possibly Jamesonite)

but the Sunnyside offered a lot more in the way of minerals

It reminds me of similar Hambergites from Afghanistan with the thick blocky form and distinct twinning on the {110} faces

they are newly mined specimens from this well-known locality
