The Wedding Star pattern was designed for foundation paper piecing in 1996 by Bradley and Judy Niemeyer and redesigned in 2008

uses only one foundation block

allowing it to become part of a series of patterns where 16” blocks can be mixed and matched to create a variety of layouts

We chose the Shimmering Star block for this design and added the Striped Pieced Border

and success

Wishing Star is constructed using four distinct sections: Group J is comprised of (8) center diamonds

and Group F is a pieced border added to the rounds to result in a 68″-square quilt
