Angel Whispers or Echoes of Spirit Voices | Designed to Comfort Those Who Mourn | 1857This 1857 volume is a beautiful example of Victorian consolation literature meant to comfort the bereaved and contains verses and essays about death, grieving, and everlasting life in heaven. Bright red cloth binding with gilt embellishments on the cover and the spine. Condition is acceptable with a slightly shaky binding & quite a bit of wear to the covers. Sold at a lower price as is.

It came to me from England & I have conserved it in a very high quality Victorian frame from the same time period

and a missing mirror that should be inside the lid

It’s fixed shut at one end and pinned at the other

this cast iron ornament would have been part of a cemetery fence

early 20th century standing cross carved from marble

early Victorian embroideries in the states & I fell in love with the beautifully detailed flowers

mid Victorian hand colored religious print depicting (I think) Saint Thecla

but otherwise it’s in great shape & suitable for gentle wear
