Color coded plans show eight deck in detail. Color photos show off a mid century modern vibe, appropriate since the ship was rebuilt in 1960 in Italy from the French LAVOISER of Chargeurs Reunis. Cruises are listed here well into 1964. I believe she only completed half before the company folded and the ship was sold to Flagship Cruises to become the VIKING
There were five sister ships in the fleet - CITY OF BALTIMORE
Her date with the breakers came in 1979
the ship began taking on water
The best Italian designers of the day including Gustavo Pulitzer Finali and Nino Zoncada created a subtle decor that paid homage to the ship's famous namesake
