The bouquet has always been a little conservative and foursquare in my opinion

the chalky salinity and bitter chocolate edged tannins in full force gripping the tongue and cheeks with a blueberry

A firm and tight red with blackberry and currant character

The premier cru ‘Forge de Tart’ is a big step up from the village Morey

but performs the trick of changing as it travels through the palate

with superb vibrancy

A touch of soft exotic spices and smoke

but with promise

The acidity is well judged with white pepper and a graphite element toward the persistent finish

burning embers
