I threw these coffee mugs on the wheel out of stoneware clay, pulled the handles, fired them in the kiln, glazed with a single glaze on the inside and several glazes on the outside, and fired them again to 2232F. The glaze is food safe, and even un glazed portions are non porous. I sanded the bottoms so they are smooth. This glaze combination was tested for thermal shock typically encountered
