2018 Finca Abril Malbec Gran Reserva “1922”, Mendoza, ArgentinaABOUT THIS WINE Finca Abril Malbec 1922 Gran Reserva represents the estates best malbec wine that is made from a single vineyard block planted to poor soil with alluvial origin, in 1922. The grapes were harvested manually, early in the morning to avoid extreme temperatures

this wine is vinified in the traditional Burgundian style (100 % oak fermented and aged)
Jean-Louis Dutraive is known throughout the land as a true master of Gamay
growers had no incentive for lower yields
A suitable name for a cuvée that had its start in the torrid vintage of 2003 when Philippe Cambie and Vincent Maurel made the decision to harvest at the end of September
the fermentations are always spontaneous
• Its handling can be made by pressing the up side whether with the index or with the thumb
enhanced by constant churning during fermentation
A combination of unique vineyard sites
Drink young (in the first 18 months) to appreciate its magnificent minerality and very complex fruit aromas
run Scar of the Sea and Lady of the Sunshine together out of their winery in San Luis Obispo
The grapes are fermented whole berry and aged for 11 months in neutral barrels
