Cephalocereus senilisCephalocereus senilis, commonly known as the old man cactus, is a distinctive columnar cactus native to eastern Mexico. Its best known for its dense covering of long, white, hair like spines that resemble an elderly persons hairhence the name. This cactus typically grows upright in tall, slender columns and can reach impressive heights of up to 1015 meters (3050 feet) in its natural habitat, though it remains much smaller when cultivated indoors.
