Antique Dead Bird PaperweightNewly released from my collection is this magnificent paperweight from France in the shape of a dead bird. They are a common motif in artworks & decorative objects related to hunting, but also in vanitas still life paintings. They have the same appeal for me ( a person who loves animals) as the Victorian memorials I collect, as beautiful expressions of grief. Refer to photos for size & condition.
