Old John Marsala Riserva 1998 Ambra Semidry DOCIt was 1773 when a rich merchant from Liverpool called John landed in Sicily with his ship. He added alcohol to the local wine to be able to take it back home , thus creating Marsala. The color is intense amber. The perfume is of intense apricot, and carob, with slight notes of thyme and black pepper. The taste is full and warm with apricots and candied fruit.
This wine is produced from over 60 hectares of carefully selected vineyards managed to obtain low yields as part of the Superbarbera project
