Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa, BE-3928
Description
Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa, BE-3928Though Nepenthes mirabilis may be the most widespread of all Nepenthes species, Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa and Nepenthes orbiculata are limited to just a small area in Thailand. Locally known amongst Thai growers as Viking form many years, these plants produce really cool looking, globose pitchers that are quite variable in color (green, white, red, pink are all possible in any combination of pitcher body and peristome). They are best grown in
Since the plants prefer such out of reach growing sites
therefore ampullaria also makes a great companion plant for frog species
we've found muluensis to really need solid highland conditions to thrive
It’s best grown in high humidity
The clone is male and the black "variegation" often passes on to its offspring
Borneo and Sumatra
As the name suggests
The distinction between the 2 populations is difficult to make but seems to be closely tied to the introgession with Nepenthes mirabilis in the Trang site leads plants there to sometimes have a lower pitcher waist and more climbing growth habit
It's a vigorous hybrid in lowland through highland conditions
Note that since these are living plants that are continuously growing
They should be a great beginner plant or one to try out on a sunny windowsill over a wide range of conditions
this new clone has been selected by Borneo Exotics for its vigor
