Elgar - Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 - Brass EnsemblePomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (Land of Hope and Glory), op. 39 Transposed to C Major by Sir Edward Elgar (1857 1934) Arrangement for Brass Ensemble by Brian Bindner originally made for The Prince of Denmarks Military Band. Sir Elgars March No. 1 was composed in 1901 and "Dedicated to my friend Alfred E. Rodewald and the members of the Liverpool Orchestral Society". The Trio contains the tune known as "Land of Hope and Glory". In 1902 the tune was
