BrookiteA pair of attractive, sharp, fine quality, lustrous, gemmy, Brookite crystals measuring up to 1. 1 cm are aesthetically set atop the underlying host rock matrix. The Brookites feature rich red to amber hues along with black "phantoms" like the classic specimens from the European Alps. No damage to the Brookites and it's not very often that one finds such superb eye catching examples of the species like this in near full size cabinet display specimens.

and I would say the piece is equally a Sphalerite specimen as it is a Rhodochrosite specimen

Viloco (sometimes called Araca) for many years has stood as one of the top Cassiterite localities in the world

The largest crystal on this specimen is one of the biggest Augelites that I have seen from Bolivia

The type locality for Creedite is in Colorado

but it’s time for it to find a new home

The mine at Porco is THE oldest and most significant Silver mine in Bolivia

as most people probably think about the colorless (or slightly pink) Danburites from Charcas

If you’re a Bolivian collector

you almost never see specimens

There are also some small gem Quartz crystals on most of the specimens found as well

they are newly mined specimens from this well-known locality
