2023 Sciara – 1200 Metri – Terre Siciliane – IGPA single vineyard Grenache from Nave, Sciara's highest amphora site at 1,200 metres, where two clay vessels are buried directly in the vineyard. Fermentation and ageing happen partly in the amphora, partly back in the winery depending on the vintage. Juicy and tart with pronounced red fruit, firm tannins, redcurrant, spice and a touch of ginger. Vivid, linear and elegant, with real structure, this will reward a few years of patience.
