The specific plant that became 'Liquorice Lips' was selected and grown on by Ian Salter, from whom all current divisions originate. This pitcher plant is notably compact, reaching a mature height of only 35 to 45 centimetres. Its form consists of upright pitchers topped with elegant, overarching hoods.
