This is a big Ardbeg that combines some of the characteristics of the great early seventies style with some of the lighter aspects of the late seventies/early eighties distillates

Expect more noise from the oak in this on as the style of the distillate underneath was a little quieter on the fruit front than in the 1970s

This 1991 is an exemplary expression from those transitional years
