Distressed American firehouse armchair (c. 1835)American Windsor firehouse chair with a continuous arm yolk back. The crest rail has an applied scroll raised above the arms, and the entire yoke is supported by eight turned spindles morticed into the plank seat. The turned legs are doweled into the underside of the plank seat and are joined by turned boxed stretchers.
