“HIDDEN TREASURES” 2020

Patti Sevensma is a Michigan-based multi-medium artist whose work usually starts with her photography, a medium she has concentrated on for more than 40 years. At the time of the creation of “Hidden Treasures,” Patti was President of the International Society of Experimental Artists ISEA. After discussions Patti and Paul had about their common love for the Lake Michigan shoreline, Patti chose about 50 photographs all relating to water and put these into a video for viewing.  Patti and Paul worked to narrow down the images, eliminating some and giving others more time by introducing cropped segments of several, aiming for an end result no longer than five minutes with each photo being viewed for about 10 seconds.  Paul then created the music and performed it on double bass, making the video collaboration come to life.  Patti writes: “Our video “Hidden Treasures” is alive and I am humbly proud and pleased to be part of this artistic collaboration, a first for me.”
